Edit: also there are a lot of essential services in my country that has a condition that says if i delay paying, ill have to pay interest- for example electricity, water, when you buy a house you have a condition which says if you delay paying property tax, you have to pay x% interest. Almost every government fee carries an interest clause. Most taxes that are not deducted at source carries an interest clause which means to start a business we need to sign an agreement that says ill pay interest.

I think we need more guidance in this area from our leaders. There is so much emphasis on being obedient to parents but we don’t often hear the same about honouring children. Many children of Muslim parents are abused to the point of creating mental health and even faith crises. It always seems the be the burden of the child to do the right thing vs any accountability for the parents.

We should remember that the will be judgement day where everyone will get what he earned. Children are amanat for parents. If parents did not take care of their children properly they will pay for that or they will get reward otherwise. There will be justice. But it is then. To look for justice in this world is useless and unreasonable. For children be patient, for parents be cautious.
